👋 Hey there, food lovers!
I’m Amanda Rodriguez
Culinary Innovator & Tech Enthusiast
Welcome to YumNode! I’m the founder, head chef, and resident food nerd behind this platform. I believe that great cooking happens when tradition meets innovation, and that’s exactly what we’re all about here.
✨ MY JOURNEY
From Code to Kitchen
My story starts in an unexpected place: a tech startup in Silicon Valley. For five years, I was a software engineer, building apps and solving complex problems with code. But every evening, I found myself in the kitchen, experimenting with flavors and techniques as a way to decompress from the digital world.
What started as stress-relief cooking gradually became an obsession. I began documenting my recipes with the same precision I used for coding – measuring, testing, iterating until each dish was perfect. My coworkers became my taste-testers, and soon I was catering office events and teaching weekend cooking classes.
The turning point came during a particularly stressful product launch. I was working 80-hour weeks, living on takeout, and felt completely disconnected from the joy that cooking used to bring me. That’s when I realized I wanted to help others avoid that trap – to make good food accessible even for the busiest people.
So I made the leap. I left tech, enrolled in culinary school, and spent two years training under some incredible chefs. But I never forgot my engineering roots – they taught me to approach cooking systematically, to understand the ‘why’ behind every technique, and to innovate fearlessly.

💭 MY PHILOSOPHY
Cooking Should Be Accessible & Joyful
I believe that everyone deserves to eat well, regardless of their skill level, time constraints, or budget. My mission is to demystify cooking through clear instructions, smart techniques, and recipes that actually work in real kitchens with real schedules.
Simplicity
Complex flavors don’t require complex methods. I focus on techniques that maximize taste with minimal fuss.
Innovation
I’m always experimenting with new ingredients, techniques, and flavor combinations to keep cooking exciting.
Sustainability
Good food should be good for the planet. I prioritize seasonal ingredients and minimal waste recipes.

🎮 I still play video games and often cook the food I see in RPGs
🌶️ I have over 47 different types of chili peppers in my spice collection
🍜 My ramen recipe took 3 years to perfect (the broth alone has 16 steps)
