Golden, crispy, and packed with savory garlic and parmesan flavor, these Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Fries are a healthier and delicious alternative to deep-fried fries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Slice them into thin strips (about 1/4-inch thick).
  2. Place the potato strips in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for 20-30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  4. Toss the potato strips with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  6. Sprinkle the fries with grated Parmesan cheese and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Transfer the fries to a serving plate, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

[‘Soaking the potatoes in cold water is key for removing starch and achieving crispiness.’, ‘Cook fries in batches if your air fryer basket is small to avoid overcrowding.’, ‘Freshly grated Parmesan cheese melts better than pre-grated cheese.’]
