Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb / 450 g), thinly sliced or cubed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese (for dressing)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch / 25 cm diameter) or whole wheat tortillas
  • 2 cups fresh romaine lettuce, chopped
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (for sprinkling)
  • Optional: sliced cherry tomatoes or avocado

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and slice into thin strips or bite-sized cubes (about ½-inch pieces). Toss the chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Let sit for 5 minutes to marinate.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, grated Parmesan, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Add a teaspoon of water if dressing is too thick. Set aside.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat until hot. Add chicken in a single layer and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 2 minutes.
  4. Lay out each tortilla on a clean surface. Spread about 2 tablespoons of Caesar dressing evenly over each tortilla, leaving a small border. Layer with chopped romaine lettuce, cooked chicken pieces, and a generous sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan. Add optional sliced avocado or cherry tomatoes if desired.
  5. Fold the sides of the tortilla in, then roll tightly from the bottom up to form a snug wrap. Place wraps seam-side down in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes per side to warm and toast the outside, melting the cheese slightly.

Notes

Use medium-high heat to avoid drying out chicken. Let chicken rest after cooking to retain juices. Spread dressing moderately to prevent sogginess. Warm tortillas before assembling for pliability. Store chicken and dressing separately if making ahead. Toast wraps quickly to seal and add crunch.
