These sliders combine smoky bacon, sharp cheddar, and tangy ranch dressing for a quick, easy, and crowd-pleasing party bite that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 2 tablespoons ranch dressing (mixed into the meat)
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing (for serving or drizzling)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, crisped and chopped
  • 6 slices sharp cheddar cheese (about 6 ounces or 170g), sliced thin
  • 6 soft mini slider buns (about 23 inches each)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: lettuce leaves, sliced pickles, tomato slices

Instructions

  1. Cook 6 slices of thick-cut bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain and chop into bite-sized pieces. Alternatively, bake bacon at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 pound ground beef with 2 tablespoons ranch dressing, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Divide the beef mixture into 6 equal portions (about 3 oz or 85g each). Shape each into a small patty slightly wider than the buns.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness without pressing down on them.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and sprinkle with chopped bacon. Cover the pan with a lid or foil to melt the cheese.
  6. Lightly toast the slider buns in the skillet or oven for 1-2 minutes until golden and warm.
  7. Spread ranch dressing on the bottom bun, add the burger patty topped with bacon and cheddar, add optional toppings if desired, and cap with the top bun. Serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overmix the meat to keep patties tender. Let patties rest after cooking to retain juices. Toast buns lightly to prevent sogginess. Cover patties when melting cheese for even melting. Cook bacon ahead to save time. For gluten-free, use gluten-free buns or lettuce wraps. For dairy-free, use dairy-free ranch and cheese substitutes.
