Cream cheese jalapeno poppers are a crowd-pleasing appetizer featuring creamy filling, smoky bacon, and spicy jalapenos. Perfect for parties or casual snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh jalapenos
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 12 slices thin-cut bacon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Slice each jalapeno in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes with a small spoon. Wear gloves if sensitive to spice.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeno half, filling them generously.
  5. Cut the bacon slices in half and wrap one piece around each filled jalapeno. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
  6. Place the poppers on the wire rack and bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For milder poppers, remove all seeds and membranes from the jalapenos. Broil for 2-3 minutes at the end for extra crispy bacon.
