A cozy, creamy oat milk latte sweetened with brown sugar and spiced with cinnamon, perfect for a comforting morning or afternoon pick-me-up. Easy to make at home with simple ingredients and no fancy equipment.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (8 oz / 240 ml) freshly brewed strong coffee (medium or dark roast)
  • 1 cup (8 oz / 240 ml) oat milk (preferably barista blend)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar (light or dark)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus extra for sprinkling
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup (8 oz / 240 ml) of strong coffee using your preferred method.
  2. Pour 1 cup (8 oz / 240 ml) oat milk into a small saucepan. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, a pinch of salt, and ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract if using.
  3. Warm the mixture over medium-low heat for about 3 minutes, stirring gently to dissolve the sugar and blend the spices. Do not let it boil.
  4. Remove from heat and froth the milk using a handheld frother or whisk vigorously until frothy and creamy.
  5. Pour the brewed coffee into a mug. Slowly add the warm, frothed oat milk mixture, holding back the foam with a spoon, then spoon the foam on top.
  6. Sprinkle extra cinnamon on top for garnish.
  7. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Use barista-style oat milk for best frothing and creaminess. Do not let the milk boil to avoid curdling or burnt taste. If no frother is available, whisk vigorously by hand or shake warm milk in a sealed jar to create foam. Adjust sweetness after tasting. Freshly ground cinnamon is preferred for better flavor. Variations include adding cocoa powder for mocha, or serving iced with chilled coffee and brown sugar syrup.
