A quick and easy air fryer salmon recipe featuring crispy skin and a perfectly balanced honey sriracha glaze, ideal for busy weeknights or casual dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (skin-on, about 6 oz / 170 g each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture from skin and flesh.
  2. Rub both sides of the salmon lightly with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let sit for 5 minutes at room temperature.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and optional lime juice until smooth.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  5. Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket, leaving space between fillets for even air circulation.
  6. Cook for 7 minutes, then check for doneness and crispiness. Cook an additional 2-3 minutes if needed.
  7. Remove salmon from the air fryer and brush the honey sriracha glaze generously over the top of each fillet.
  8. Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh cilantro, green onions, or sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Patting the salmon dry is crucial for crispy skin. Do not glaze before cooking to avoid burning. If your air fryer smokes, place a small piece of bread or drip tray under the basket to catch excess oil. Adjust sriracha amount to control spice level. For gluten-free, substitute soy sauce with tamari and verify sriracha brand.
