These crispy hockey puck Oreo treats combine toasted marshmallows, crushed Oreos, and butter to create a crunchy, chewy snack perfect for any occasion. Quick and easy to make, they deliver nostalgic flavor with a playful twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 classic Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows (about 90 grams)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (43 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts) or mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Crush the Oreos using a food processor until fine crumbs with some small chunks remain. Alternatively, place Oreos in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and mini marshmallows. Pour in the melted butter and vanilla extract. Stir with a spatula until the mixture is evenly coated and starts to stick together.
  4. Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, press the mixture firmly into small round discs about 2 inches wide and ½ inch thick. Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges turn light golden brown and marshmallows puff slightly and toast.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for at least 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to set and firm up.

Notes

Press the mixture firmly into discs to avoid crumbly treats. Watch baking time carefully to achieve light golden edges with a soft center. Store in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain crispness. Refrigeration can soften the treats. For longer storage, freeze and thaw at room temperature before serving.
