A quick and easy sheet pan recipe that combines honey garlic glazed salmon with perfectly roasted broccoli, ideal for busy weeknights. This dish offers a sweet-savory flavor with minimal fuss and cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz / 170 g each), skin on, fresh or thawed
  • 4 cups broccoli florets (about 300 g), washed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tablespoons honey (preferably mild, floral like clover)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Toss broccoli florets with a little salt, freshly ground black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of the honey garlic sauce. Spread evenly on one side of a parchment-lined sheet pan.
  4. Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the other side of the sheet pan. Brush each fillet generously with the remaining honey garlic sauce.
  5. Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes, until salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, and broccoli has crisp, browned edges.
  6. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes at the end for extra caramelization, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  7. Serve immediately, spooning any pan juices over the salmon and broccoli. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice on top.

Notes

Use wild-caught salmon if possible for best flavor and texture. Cut broccoli into uniform small florets for even roasting. Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure broccoli crisps instead of steams. Brushing sauce on salmon helps caramelize glaze better than pouring. If broccoli cooks faster, remove it early and let salmon finish roasting alone. Optional broil step adds extra caramelization but watch carefully to avoid burning. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 2 days; reheat gently to avoid drying out.
