A creamy, tangy, spicy, and sweet dip combining cream cheese, cranberry sauce, and jalapenos, perfect for Thanksgiving appetizers and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (227 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (125 ml) cranberry sauce, fresh or canned
  • 1 medium jalapeno pepper, finely diced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) honey (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon (1.5 g) salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by leaving it out at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whip the cream cheese with a hand or stand mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add lime juice and honey (if using) and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Gently fold in cranberry sauce using a spatula, keeping some texture.
  5. Finely dice jalapeno, mince garlic, and slice green onions thinly.
  6. Fold jalapeno, garlic, and green onions into the cream cheese mixture. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  7. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let flavors meld.
  8. Before serving, stir the dip and adjust seasoning if needed.

Notes

Soften cream cheese well for smooth texture. Adjust jalapeno seeds for desired heat. Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Chill dip for at least 1 hour before serving. If too thick after chilling, stir in a teaspoon of milk or cream to loosen. Wear gloves when handling jalapenos to avoid irritation.
