A playful and colorful jello dessert featuring gummy bears that look like swimmers, perfect for pool parties and summer gatherings. Easy to make with simple ingredients and fun to serve individually.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 packs (about 3 oz / 85 g each) Jello Mix (choose bright colors like blue raspberry, lime, or cherry)
  • 3 cups (720 ml) boiling water
  • 3 cups (720 ml) cold water or cold lemon-lime soda for a fizzy twist
  • 1 cup (150 g) assorted gummy bears
  • Clear plastic cups (8 oz / 240 ml size) for serving
  • Optional: whipped cream or mini umbrellas for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil 3 cups (720 ml) of water.
  2. In a large heatproof bowl, empty all three packs of jello mix. Pour boiling water over the powders and stir vigorously for about 2 minutes until fully dissolved and clear.
  3. Stir in 3 cups (720 ml) of cold water or chilled lemon-lime soda for a fizzy texture.
  4. Pour about 1/4 cup (60 ml) of the jello liquid into each clear cup. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes until the jello is slightly firm but still tacky.
  5. Gently place 3-4 gummy bears in each cup, arranging them to look like they are swimming or floating. Return cups to the fridge.
  6. Pour the remaining jello mixture over the gummy bears, filling each cup almost to the top (leave room if adding whipped cream).
  7. Refrigerate the cups for at least 2 hours until fully set and jiggly.
  8. Serve chilled, optionally topped with whipped cream or mini umbrellas.

Notes

Do not rush the setting process; letting the first layer firm properly helps gummy bears stay suspended and not sink. Use fresh jello packets for best results. Stir jello mixture thoroughly to dissolve powder completely. Arrange gummy bears carefully using tweezers or a spoon. For a fizzy twist, substitute cold water with lemon-lime soda. Customize with layered colors or add alcohol for an adult version.
