These Garlic Parmesan Spinach Puff Pastry Twists are flaky, cheesy, and packed with savory garlic and spinach flavor—perfect for parties or casual snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant, then add the chopped spinach. Cook for 2-3 minutes until wilted. Season with salt and pepper and set aside to cool.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface to smooth them out. Spread the cooled spinach mixture evenly over one sheet of pastry.
  4. Sprinkle the grated parmesan generously over the spinach layer. Top with the second sheet of puff pastry, pressing gently to seal.
  5. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide.
  6. Twist each strip carefully to create a spiral shape and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the twists with beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm for the best flavor!

Notes

Work quickly with puff pastry to keep it cold. Avoid overfilling to prevent leakage during baking. You can freeze unbaked twists and bake them fresh when needed.
