  • 2 cans of store-bought cinnamon rolls
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Open the cinnamon roll cans and set the icing packets aside for later. Cut each roll into quarters and spread them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until fully combined.
  4. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the cut cinnamon rolls, making sure all pieces are coated. Gently press the rolls down with a spatula so they soak up the liquid.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set. If the edges start to brown too quickly, cover the dish loosely with foil.
  6. While the casserole is baking, make the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk. Add more milk, a little at a time, until the glaze reaches your desired consistency.
  7. Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle the glaze generously over the top of the casserole.
