Layers of tender ravioli, bubbling marinara sauce, and gooey melted cheese come together in this hearty, cheesy comfort food that’s quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Frozen ravioli (cheese, spinach, or meat-filled)
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (about 24 ounces)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
  3. Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  4. Arrange a single layer of frozen ravioli over the sauce, ensuring each piece is flat.
  5. Add a layer of shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the ravioli.
  6. Repeat layers: Add another layer of marinara sauce, ravioli, and cheese. Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with a generous cheese layer on top.
  7. Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the final layer of cheese.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize the layers with sautéed spinach, mushrooms, or cooked ground beef for added texture and flavor. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes after baking to firm up before slicing.
