Savory, garlicky mushroom caps stuffed with creamy cheese, crispy bacon bits, and herbs—perfect for parties or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Large button or cremini mushrooms
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup crispy bacon bits
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wipe the mushrooms clean with a damp paper towel. Remove the stems and set the caps aside. Chop the stems finely if desired.
  3. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain the grease and chop into small bits.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheese, minced garlic, chopped bacon, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  5. Use a small spoon to fill each mushroom cap generously with the cheese mixture.
  6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of each stuffed mushroom for extra crunch (optional).
  7. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and brush the caps lightly with olive oil.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Let the mushrooms cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle smoked paprika on top before baking. Avoid overstuffing the mushrooms to prevent them from collapsing.
