A stunning and easy-to-make chocolate covered strawberry bouquet perfect for gifting on any occasion. This recipe combines fresh strawberries dipped in rich dark chocolate with optional decorative touches for a beautiful edible gift.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450 grams) large, firm fresh strawberries with stems intact
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) good-quality dark chocolate, chopped or chips
  • Optional: 4 ounces (115 grams) white chocolate for drizzling
  • Optional decorations: chopped nuts (pistachios or almonds), sprinkles or edible glitter, coconut flakes
  • Floral foam or Styrofoam block to anchor the bouquet
  • 1215 wooden skewers or lollipop sticks (food-safe and sturdy)
  • Cellophane wrap and ribbon for wrapping

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly (about 10 minutes).
  2. Prepare workspace by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper and setting up floral foam in a vase or container. Insert wooden skewers into each strawberry through the stem end.
  3. Melt dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second bursts until smooth, stirring frequently. Add a teaspoon of coconut or vegetable oil if chocolate thickens.
  4. Dip each strawberry into melted chocolate, coating about two-thirds of the berry. Let excess chocolate drip off and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Add nuts or sprinkles immediately if desired.
  5. Chill dipped strawberries in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to set the chocolate.
  6. Optional: Melt white chocolate and drizzle over dark chocolate strawberries using a fork or piping bag. Chill briefly to set.
  7. Assemble the bouquet by inserting each dipped strawberry skewer into the floral foam at varying heights and angles to create a layered effect. Fill gaps with greenery or small flowers if desired.
  8. Wrap the bouquet in clear cellophane and tie securely with ribbon or twine.

Notes

Ensure strawberries and tools are completely dry to prevent chocolate from seizing. Melt chocolate slowly and stir frequently to avoid burning. Chill strawberries fully before assembling bouquet for stability. Use room temperature strawberries for best chocolate adhesion. Reheat chocolate gently if it thickens during dipping. Store bouquet refrigerated and consume within 1-2 days for freshness.
