A festive and easy-to-make chocolate covered strawberry flag platter perfect for celebrations, combining fresh strawberries, semi-sweet chocolate, white chocolate stripes, and blueberries arranged in a patriotic flag pattern.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries, washed and thoroughly dried
  • 8 ounces high-quality semi-sweet chocolate, chopped or in chips
  • 4 ounces white chocolate, for stripes
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts (pistachios or almonds), sprinkles or edible glitter, sea salt flakes
  • Parchment paper or silicone baking mat

Instructions

  1. Wash strawberries gently and dry completely with paper towels. Trim green leaves if desired.
  2. Melt semi-sweet chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring frequently until smooth and glossy.
  3. Hold each strawberry by the leaves and dip into melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly but leaving a small border at the top. Let excess drip off before placing on parchment-lined tray.
  4. Place dipped strawberries in the fridge or a cool spot to chill and set for 15 minutes.
  5. Melt white chocolate using the same method. Pour melted white chocolate into a plastic squeeze bag and snip a tiny corner for piping.
  6. Pipe white chocolate stripes across some strawberries to mimic flag stripes. Let dry or chill briefly to firm the lines.
  7. Arrange strawberries in rows on a large serving platter to form the flag. Place blueberries tightly packed in the upper left corner to represent stars.
  8. Chill the entire platter for at least 10 minutes before serving to keep chocolate firm and strawberries fresh.

Notes

Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing or sliding off. Use gentle heat when melting chocolate to avoid burning. Chill the platter before serving to keep chocolate firm. For dairy-free or vegan versions, use dairy-free dark chocolate and nut milk-based white chocolate alternatives. If chocolate thickens, whisk in a teaspoon of coconut oil or vegetable shortening to smooth it out.
