  • ½ cup pepperoni slices (or to taste)
  • ¼ cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, thyme blend)
  • Handful fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional)
  • Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine ½ cup softened unsalted butter with 4 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, a pinch of salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. Slice the pull-apart bread into individual pieces if not pre-sliced. For boule, cut into 1- to 1.5-inch chunks.
  4. Spread the garlic butter generously over each bread piece, ensuring coverage in all nooks and crannies.
  5. Arrange the buttered bread pieces close together on a baking sheet or oven-safe dish, allowing some space for heat circulation.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the bread pieces, then scatter pepperoni slices on top.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes over everything.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden and bread edges are crisp.
  9. Remove from oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley or basil.
  10. Serve immediately while warm for best pull-apart and melty cheese experience.
