  • 2 cups ice cubes (about 480 ml)
  • Tajin seasoning for rimming glasses
  • Coarse salt mixed with Tajin for rim (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass rims: Run a lime wedge around the rim of margarita glasses to moisten them. Spread a thin layer of Tajin seasoning mixed with coarse salt on a shallow plate. Dip each glass rim into the seasoning mixture, twisting slightly to coat evenly. Set aside.
  2. Juice the limes: Use a citrus juicer or squeeze by hand about 1/4 cup (60 ml) of fresh lime juice. Strain out seeds if needed.
  3. Blend the mango mixture: In a blender, combine 2 cups peeled, diced mango, 1/2 cup silver tequila, 1/4 cup triple sec, 1/4 cup fresh lime juice, and 1-2 tablespoons simple syrup. Add 2 cups ice cubes last. Blend on high until ice is crushed and mixture is smooth but thick, with a slushy consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust: Taste the margarita. If too tart, add more simple syrup; if too sweet, add more lime juice. Blend briefly if adjustments are made.
  5. Serve immediately: Pour the frozen mango margarita into prepared glasses. Garnish with a lime wedge or small mango slice. Serve right away.
