frozen strawberry margarita - featured image

A quick and easy 3-ingredient frozen cocktail perfect for summer, combining frozen strawberries, tequila blanco, and fresh lime juice for a bright, tangy, and refreshingly sweet drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups (225 grams) frozen strawberries, unsweetened
  • 1 cup (240 ml) tequila blanco
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) fresh lime juice
  • Optional: 1-2 teaspoons agave syrup or simple syrup
  • Salt or sugar for rimming glasses

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glasses by rimming them with lime juice and dipping into coarse salt or sugar. Set aside.
  2. Place frozen strawberries, tequila blanco, and fresh lime juice into a blender.
  3. Pulse first to break down the berries, then blend continuously for 30-45 seconds until smooth and slushy. Add a tablespoon of water or lime juice if needed and blend again.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding 1-2 teaspoons of agave syrup or simple syrup if desired. If too thick, add more lime juice or water to loosen.
  5. Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with a lime wedge or fresh strawberry on the rim. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries for best icy texture; fresh strawberries require added ice. Use blanco tequila for a clean, crisp flavor. Chill glasses ahead for colder drinks. Avoid over-blending to prevent watery texture. Fresh lime juice is essential for bright flavor. Rim glasses with salt or sugar for classic margarita touch.
