Quick and easy savory ham sliders on soft Hawaiian rolls brushed with garlic butter and topped with a tangy Dijon glaze, perfect for gatherings and busy days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12-count pack Hawaiian rolls (soft and slightly sweet)
  • 1 pound thinly sliced deli ham or leftover cooked ham, chopped or folded
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced fresh
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 6 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping as many rolls connected as possible for easy assembly.
  3. Layer the ham evenly on the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese over the ham.
  5. Place the top half of the rolls back on top and press gently to keep everything together.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder.
  7. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the top of the slider buns.
  8. Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for about 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes or until the tops are golden and slightly crispy.
  10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the sliders.
  11. Let the sliders cool for a few minutes, then slice apart with a sharp knife and serve warm.

Notes

Use fresh minced garlic for best flavor. Melt butter but let it cool slightly before mixing with Dijon mustard to prevent separation. Cover with foil during baking to keep cheese melty and rolls moist, then remove foil to crisp tops. Assemble a day ahead and refrigerate for convenience, adding a few extra minutes to bake time. For stale rolls, mist lightly with water before baking.
