Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (32 oz) grape juice (Concord recommended; can substitute cranberry or pomegranate juice)
  • 2 cups (16 oz) pineapple juice (or substitute limeade or lemon-lime soda for a greener hue)
  • 1 liter (33.8 oz) ginger ale (or lemon-lime soda)
  • 1.5 cups (12 oz) vodka (or white rum)
  • 3/4 cup (6 oz) triple sec or orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier)
  • 1/2 cup (4 oz) blue curacao (optional, for color)
  • Green or purple food coloring (a few drops, optional)
  • 1 small chunk food-grade dry ice (for potion effect, optional)
  • Gummy worms or “eyeballs” (candy or lychee-stuffed with blueberries, optional garnish)
  • Lime slices, orange slices, or maraschino cherries (optional garnish)
  • Halloween sprinkles or edible glitter (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill all juices, ginger ale, and spirits in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
  2. Prepare garnishes: slice citrus fruits, wash berries, and set out gummy worms or ‘eyeballs.’
  3. In a large punch bowl or cauldron, combine grape juice, pineapple juice, and ginger ale. Stir gently to blend.
  4. Add vodka and triple sec (and blue curacao if using). Stir gently again. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness with more juice or soda if desired.
  5. If desired, add a few drops of green or purple food coloring for a vibrant hue. Stir to combine.
  6. Float citrus slices, cherries, and gummy candies on top. Add sprinkles or edible glitter if desired.
  7. Using tongs or food-safe gloves, carefully add a small chunk of dry ice to the center of the punch bowl just before serving for a bubbling, smoky effect. Do not ingest dry ice.
  8. Ladle punch into glasses, avoiding the dry ice. Rim glasses with colored sugar or add a gummy worm for extra flair. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Chill all ingredients for maximum fizz and flavor. Use food-grade dry ice only and never serve it directly in glasses. Adjust alcohol and sweetness to taste. For a non-alcoholic version, omit spirits and add more juice or soda. Garnish creatively for extra Halloween flair. Store leftovers (without garnishes or ice) in the fridge for up to 2 days.
